The Tilbury has been open for almost a year now and was looking a bit tired after a busy first year, so the team has given the old girl a facelift with some paint, wallpaper and a few bits and pieces. We have also added chalkboards, giving the place a more "Gastro Pub" feel, so you can enjoy the great food in an even more relaxed atmosphere.

Christmas

The "so called" summer is over for another year and people are already mentioning Christmas. We know it seems a long way off but our menus have been created and they look and sound great. Are you Game ???

This is a great time of year for food with the countryside alive with game and wild mushrooms. Game is wild, natural and free range with a distinctive flavour making it a good alternative to beef, pork, lamb and chicken. The season has started for some shoots like Partridge and duck soon to follow will be pheasant.

Defrost

As the temperature drops, why not warm up by our log fire and try one of our winter warmers like our own “Vin Chaud” (Mulled Wine) or Winter Pimms. As the weather gets colder and the evenings darker people want comfort food and log fires, at The Tilbury you’ll find both.

We pride ourselves on our diverse beer selection that includes some of the best beers from Europe, particularly Belgium. If you’re a Trappist ale disciple, enjoy the rich fruitiness of a Kriek or dream of being in a Munich Bierhalle with a Weiss bier then we can satisfy your desire.

New Years Eve

This year we will be bigger and better than last year. We are planning a 007 party with a casino; cocktails, buffet and music so dig out your cocktail dress and Tuxedo. Tickets are £45 per person

The Tilbury To Go

We’ll package The Tilbury up and deliver it to your door to cater for your party or gathering. In collaboration with Junction 8 events we can solve your party and small event dilemmas. Simply get in touch and we’ll get cracking on the details, taylor-made to your requirements.

Cookery School

Thanks for an overwhelming response, sorry we couldn't fit you all in but we will be starting again on Tuesday 8th January 2008, with a theme to be announced.

New Opening Times

We are now open on a Sunday night with food served from 7 till 9 in addition to 12-3 lunchtime. From Monday 5th November we will be open on a Monday with normal opening times of 12-3 & 6-11.
